Make your own "Raspberry Dream" drink!

Hello!

So here in Utah there is a local drink spot that has AMAZING drinks and cookies. Its called Swig. Thats literally all they do. They have "dirty" Diet Cokes and Mountain Dews. Like, its my favorite spot to stop by when I'm out and about doing errands. (and lets be honest, sometimes I go out just for this!) And for those that know me, I would much rather take a drink, than ice cream or something. Its my favorite "sweet".

Well, I was blowing through my "drink" budget pretty quickly at $3.20 a pop. So I decided to try and figure out my own at home recipe so I can have the ingrediants on hand and not spend 30 min there and back for a drink. Yes, I've done it.

So what I knew was that my favorite drink "Raspberry Dream" had this:

-Dr Pepper

-Raspberry Purree

-Coconut Cream

I had no idea of increments of any of them or even how to get "coconut cream". I know of coconut syrup and coconut milk, but not cream. So I was trying to look up how to make it and so many places were "whipped" coconut cream, for like pies and such. I knew that wouldnt mix well in my drink. Then other places told me to chill coconut milk and scrape off the top that had solidified. I really didnt think that would smooth out in my drink either. I didnt want to just add the "sryup" and some "cream" either. I didnt think it would blend well.

SO FINALLY, wandering the store... I found Coffee-mate "Coconut Cream"! BINGO! That would be perfect conistancy, but I still wanted to make sure it had the right amount of "coconut flavor" to it. So then I bought both frozen raspberries and fresh to see if there would be a difference.

So I headed home and this is what ended up being the best!

-DIET Dr Pepper (personal preference)

-Coffee-mate Coconut Cream

-FRESH Raspberries

So here is my own recipe:

44 oz FOAM cup a 1/3 filled with CRUSHED ice

Diet Dr Pepper (I buy 2 Liters)

3 T Coffee-mate Coconut Cream

3 T Puree'd raspberries

Fill your cup 1/2 way with Dr Pepper.

Add raspberries.

Add more Dr Pepper til 3/4 full.

Add Coconut Cream.

Fill the rest of your cup with Dr Pepper and stir with your straw!

ENJOY!

How I puree'd the raspberries was dump a 6 oz container of FRESH raspberries in a food processor and ADD 1/2 Tablespoon sugar (or sweetener of your choice). I think this helps smooth out the raspberry puree. This should be enough for 2 or 3, 44 oz drinks.

I recently discovered coconut sugar benefits and started using it as a natural sweetener, especially for my family’s treats. Unlike refined sugars, coconut sugar has a lower glycemic index, which means it’s gentler on blood sugar levels—a big plus for keeping energy balanced throughout the day! It also contains trace nutrients like iron, zinc, and calcium, making it a healthier alternative for both adults and kids. FeedSmart’s Chocolita, sweetened with coconut sugar, is a perfect example of a delicious treat with added benefits. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy sweets with less guilt!
